Southern Grounds is a restaurant and coffee bar inside Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) — Concourse A, Gate A4, the concourse serving Delta, JetBlue and United flights. Past the TSA checkpoint, left toward the gates.
The coffee is Intelligentsia — direct-trade, Chicago-roasted, shipped to us weekly. Same coffee as every Southern Grounds in Jacksonville. Blueberry Bakery pastries in the case. A scratch kitchen cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner in extra virgin olive oil — bowls, sandwiches, avocado toast, and everything made the way we make it at our community cafes.
Window seats overlooking the tarmac if you want to sit down. Grab-and-go if your connection is tight. Counter ordering, quick service — built for the pace of an airport without cutting corners on the food.
If you're flying out of Concourse C (American, Southwest, Allegiant, Breeze), we're accessible through the connector between concourses. There's also a larger Southern Grounds in the main terminal before security — that one has a full bar and is open to anyone, boarding pass or not.

Which concourse are you in? I'm flying out of Concourse C.

We're in Concourse A at Gate A4 — the Delta, JetBlue, United, and Sun Country concourse. If you're departing from Concourse C (American, Southwest, Allegiant, Breeze), we're accessible but requires walking back through the connector between concourses. Worth it for the coffee, but factor in the extra few minutes.
Is there seating here, or is it grab-and-go?

There's dedicated seating — chairs by the concourse for people-watching and window seats overlooking the tarmac. It's a smaller footprint than the pre-security location (roughly half the size), but it's a real sit-down spot, not just a counter. Good option if you have a layover or want to settle in before boarding.
Do you serve food, or just coffee and pastries?

Full menu — same breakfast, lunch, and dinner items as our community locations, plus Blueberry Bakery pastries. Grab-and-go options are also available for tighter connections. Gluten-free and vegan options on the menu.
Is there also a Southern Grounds before security?

Yes — there's a second, larger Southern Grounds in the main terminal before the TSA checkpoint. If you're being picked up or dropping someone off, that's the one they can access without a boarding pass. The pre-security location also has a full bar. This Concourse A location is beer and wine only.
